Stone View Farm Field Trips

Our 109-acre family-owned farm is a haven of history and beauty, boasting a meticulously restored barn, an original 1837 Stone House, and charming structures like a smokehouse, icehouse, and a fully functional spring house nestled by a serene pond. In 2019, our family instantly fell in love with this farm, and since then, we’ve poured our hearts into preserving its artistic heritage and natural splendor.

We are excited to offer Field Trips on Wednesdays through Fridays during our fall season. Our Field Trip program is available to any accredited public or private school, pre-school, year-round daycare, head start program, and homeschool co-op. Our objective is to provide a unique educational experience for children to learn about pumpkins, animals, and the fall harvest season! This one-of-a-kind farm experience will bring your classroom lessons to life, where students can ask questions and have hands-on fun.

Pumpkin Program:
Ages: Preschool through third grade

Learn the growing stages of a pumpkin from seed to our favorite fall tradition! We provide the tools for students to enjoy learning through a fun and hands-on experience. After a brief lesson, each student will receive a pumpkin to bring home with them. Students will then take a hayride tour of the farm with stops to learn about the natural spring house, crop production, animals and much more!

Field Trips to the Farm – Ages Preschool through Grade 3

Corn Maze Program:
Ages: Fourth grade and above

Students will experience one of Maryland’s largest Corn Mazes, with difficulty ranging from beginner (.5 miles) to intermediate (1.9 miles). By working together to navigate the maze, students will have a team bonding experience like no other! In addition to the Corn Maze, groups will take the hayride tour of the farm, learning about the natural spring house, crop production, animals and much more.
